Postcard #33: Easter from Czech
Dated: March 19, 2013
Postmarked: March 25, 2013 from Czech Republic
This is what was written on the postcard (it is absolutely hilarious):
"This card was painted by famous Czech artist Josef Lada. The most famous tradition for Easter is whipping girls on Easter Monday. Boys have to make a special whip from willow rools and they decorate them with colourful ribbons. The tradition says that a girl spanked by willow whip will be healthy and lively for the whole year. After the whipping, a girl should tie a ribbon to the boy's whip and give him a decorated egg."

Postcard #32: Hong Kong
Hong Kong
Victoria Harbour
Victoria Harbour from Lugard Road, the narrow road circling the Peak, offering a different, but equally magnificent view every few yards. Pictures from here need updating twice a year because land reclamation and the pace of building make the scene change so rapidly. This is rightly considered to be one of the most exciting night views in the world.

Postcard #29: Virginia Sate Flower
Virginia
Dogwood - State Flower
The American dogwood is well distributed throughout the Commonwealth, and its beauty is symbolic of the many attractive features of Virginia, thus it was chosen as the official state flower. The dogwood blooms in early spring and its blossom as a tiny cluster of flowers surrounded by four white leaves that look like petals. No tree says "Southern" better than the flowering dogwood.
